The 'Kickoff Meeting' of the HYSouthMarmara Project, Türkiye's first Hydrogen Valley Project, took place on November 28, 2023. The project has set a record in Türkiye by receiving an 8 million euro grant under the Horizon Europe Framework Program, making it one of the 90 Hydrogen Valleys worldwide.
Led by the South Marmara Development Agency, the HYSouthMarmara Project involves 15 organizations from 4 countries and aims to create a green hydrogen ecosystem for a carbon-neutral future in South Marmara. With a target of achieving a carbon-neutral South Marmara by 2053, the project has significant potential for expansion in the next decade through plans to support innovative businesses alongside green hydrogen production, paving the way for the development of a small-scale hydrogen valley. This Kickoff Meeting was completed with full participation from work package leaders and will mark a milestone for the green hydrogen transformation in Türkiye!
